Admiring the roofs is an integral part of the beauty of a landscape and a house. Roofs represent a form of freedom, between heaven and earth and the objects that adorn them are a link between the two. Roofs have inspired writers, musicians, filmmakers, artists, painters and photographers. Roofs have also inspired Stéphane Auder, who has turned his passion into an art form.

Our Savoir-Faire
The fabrication of roof ornaments and of any artistic zinc work requires a total mastery of the most difficult techniques. Our knowledge and experience allow us to create any type of roof ornament of exceptional quality; whether they are a creation or an identical reproduction of old models, and this from a drawing or a photo.
The following techniques are used and mastered according to the French ornamentation traditions and the rules of art:
Forming, Shaping, Repoussage, Stamping, Foundry, Welding, and Technical Drawing.
A recognized and award-winning
In 2010, after 30 years of experience including 14 years as an ornamentalist, Stéphane entered the competition for a "Meilleur Ouvrier de France". For this competition of excellence, Stéphane reproduced the Campanile of Villeneuve St Georges (94). After 1,150 hours of work and the reproduction of an imposing piece showcasing his impressive savoir-faire (know-how), he received the title of “Meilleur Ouvrier de France” in the Metal Ornamentalist category.
The Atelier Auder d'Ornements has also received the most prestigious and beautiful distinctions guaranteeing the mastery of the most difficult techniques and the assurance of exceptional work: Maître Artisan en Métier d'Art and the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label (EPV).
