Particularity of this reference
for the Atelier Auder d'Ornements
It was a very nice project to create ornaments for these two domes’ crowning.
Paris is known for its beautiful roofs, so working according to the architect's design, in partnership with a roofing company and having them extremely satisfied with the final work was very rewarding for us.

The different ornamental parts
As explained in the history and because of the absence of the domes, the whole structure was recreated, including the zinc ornaments.
A study, drawings, creations of molds were necessary for the realization of the base fronts, dormer windows and crowns of dome
The fronts of the base
Creation according to plan of curved base fronts with rings. Everything was planned for an easy installation by the roofing team. A study and drawing were necessary to obtain an adapted bending.
Dormer Windows
Eight small dormers were made according to the project of the architect Mr. Pumain: 4 dormer windows for each of the domes.
Made of zinc, they perfectly fit the arch of the frame and their simple beauty adorns these domes.
The design know-how of the Atelier Auder d'Ornements, allowed an "easy" and trouble-free installation by the roofing team.
The top part - zinc crown
Like the previous ornaments, the dome crowns were created after study and design.
The techniques used are:
Forming for the main part of the crown
Creation of molds for the stamping of gadroons
Turning of wooden mandrels and repoussage for the cone and half-ball
Thus, all the techniques of the ornamentalist are brought together: drawing, development, forming, stamping, embossing and assembly to create these beautiful work of art.
The support of the upper parts of these domes, was provided by the carpentry/roofing company.
Awaiting installation…
The carpentry and roofing company, which specializes in the restoration and conservation of old buildings, prepared the domes in the workshop.
The building is located next to the Notre-Dame Cathedral, so an authorization for intervention is pending.
